I haven't been too vocal lately, I've taken sometime away from marketing to concentrate on the details of my proposal.
Jan 8th, 2010, I will officially Launch my "Under a Bridge to Capitol Hill" Campaign.
Everybody has a plan but we will have to decide on one. All I can do is try to promote my intellectual propoerty as best as I can. This may end on Capitol Hill, it may not. But I know that if there is a decision about my proposal, Capitol Hill is the destination--unless the BCS decides to move to it, and I don't think that it is going to happen.
But the topic of the day is about responses I have recieved due to my efforts with my proposal.
I wrote to an ESPN writer, after writing about 50 or so other sports writers, and recieved a response. The feedback was no longer than a couple of sentences but the optimistic breathe of life that came after was refreshing.
"I will follow your efftors. I'd really like to see a 16 team playoff. But these things take baby steps, I think."
Just the fact thay the are willing to follow my efforts is a strong boost of confidence. I have upgraded to business cards and soon will be displaying my first event of my Campaign.
Next time, I will be able to contact the writer via postal mail and give them my proposal in a more concrete form. That was a benefit of the Washington Post article.
The Kennedy Proposal went into print and circulation on July 25th, 2009. That media has given me local attention. Although the attention is pretty nagative, seriously negative, there is a small group of people that are willing to send a powerful message, and we will. These things do take time, and we have taken baby steps, but the KPCoalition will grow. What is to become will become.
God Bless,
Brandon E. Kennedy
Executive Director of The KP Coalition
